Foods to Help Shrink Belly Fat - Tips & Note of the Day

Foods to Help Shrink Belly Fat - Tips & Note of the Day, for those who are being trained by me...

First Off,, Great Work-out night! I am very impressed by all your energey. Great Job on pushing those extra reps/sets.

Please keep in mind, with every great work-out comes great eating habits. Keep a great work-out & an awesome eating habit.

Tips & Note of the Day
Abdominal fat is often hard to eliminate even with exercise. The truly bad part of this is that the visceral fat that covers the abdomen puts our health in danger more than other kinds of fat on the body. Heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and even breast cancer are just a few of the conditions that can stem from excessive belly fat. A healthy diet with fat-burning foods, not just a low-fat diet, is necessary to shrink belly fat and keep it off. Fiber Foods such as oatmeal and beans are high in fiber, which can help shrink belly fat in a number of ways. First, they make you feel full quicker than low-fiber foods and require longer digestion times to keep you satisfied.

Soluble fibers can also help remove toxins from the body. Hormonal imbalances, which can contribute to belly fat storage, can be alleviated with insoluble fiber foods such as whole grains and seeds that can bind excess estrogen for excretion.

Protein
Protein is much like fiber in that it can prolong satiation. This is because protein requires more calories for digestion than fruits and vegetables. Eggs are a great source of protein and also contain B12, which is essential to break down fat cells.

Beans are also good for providing protein and are a double whammy, since they are also loaded with fiber. Just watch the kinds of beans you eat since refried beans are high in saturated fat, and baked beans can be full of sugar.

Enzymes
Foods such as papaya and pineapple are full of enzymes that can help break down proteins for better digestion. Foods that contain enzymes, such as raw fruits and vegetables, give the liver and pancreas the opportunity to excrete more toxins, as well as turn fat stored in the belly into fuel for the body.

Healthy Fats
Eating fatty food isn't always the dirty culprit behind belly fat. It all depends on the kinds of fat consumed. Monounsaturated fats can actually boost metabolism and target belly fat for energy. Foods high in these healthy fats include olive oil and avocados.

Olive oil in particular not only helps you burn fat, but also keeps cholesterol levels regulated. Also look for foods like almonds, which are not only high in monounsaturated fats, but also provide a good amount of protein for a synergistic fat-burning effect. These will also help curb hunger pangs.

Have Fun & Good Health....

Consumer Reports Won't 'Recommend' iPhone 4

Consumer Reports Won't 'Recommend' iPhone 4
by Jimi Greeko on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 12:37pm

After testing three separate iPhone 4s, Consumer Reports says that it "can't recommend the iPhone 4" due to what it says is the faulty antenna.

Much has been made of the iPhone 4's antenna since the device was released June 24. Apple claims faulty software is misrepresenting how signal strength is calculated and displayed on the iPhone. That's one problem. The other is that the iPhone 4 does in fact have a problem with the antenna itself.
In a blog post this morning, Consumer Reports said of the iPhone 4, "Consumer Reports' engineers ... have confirmed that there is a problem with its reception. When your finger or hand touches a spot on the phone's lower left side -- an easy thing, especially for lefties -- the signal can significantly degrade enough to cause you to lose your connection altogether if you're in an area with a weak signal. Due to this problem, we can't recommend the iPhone 4."

Ouch. That's gotta smart. Apple can't be happy with that assessment.
Consumer Reports said that it purchased three different iPhone 4s from different retailers in the New York area. Consumer Reports has an isolation chamber that it used to test the iPhone 4's antenna. Consumer reports says the chamber is "impervious to outside radio signals." It used a base station emulator to provide cellular coverage for the iPhone inside that chamber. Consumer Reports also tested other AT&T phones, such as the iPhone 3GS and Palm Pre. The results conclude that the iPhone 4 has a problem, the other phones did not.

Consumer Reports said, "Our findings call into question the recent claim by Apple that the iPhone 4's signal-strength issues were largely an optical illusion caused by faulty software." Did Consumer Reports just say that Apple is lying about the problem, or at least is glossing over it with a questionable explanation?

Consumer Reports recommends that you cover the gap between the antenna's on the left side of the iPhone 4 with duct tape, electrical tape, or a case. Apple said pretty much the same thing when the issue was first reported. In a statement that has to sting, Consumer Reports said, "If you want an iPhone that works well without a masking-tape fix, we continue to recommend an older model, the 3GS."

They do give the iPhone 4 props for a number of its other features. They say it has the best screen and best video camera they've ever seen, and also said that the improved battery life, gyroscope and front-facing camera make the iPhone an otherwise great product.

Apple has said that a software fix for the signal strength meter is on the way. That will fix how the iPhone displays the available signal strength. That software fix is not going to fix the hardware problem created by Apple's so-called "genius" design for the iPhone 4's antenna.

Should Men Worry?

Should Men Worry?

☆ you've probably heard the rumors about soy. That it can make men infertile or that it has a feminizing effect. You might be thinking twice about the amount of soy you're eating, or possibly wondering whether you should drink soymilk at all!

Well, you can stop worrying. .......

While the soy debate rages on, the important facts have been verified. The short story is, no, soy doesn't have any kind of feminizing effect on men - although experts recommend eating whole soy foods. ☆

GPS

GPS by Jimi Greeko on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 9:21am

A couple of weeks ago a friend told me that someone she knew had their car broken into while they were at a football match. Their car was parked on the green which was adjacent to the football stadium and specially allotted to football fans. Things stolen from the car included a garage door remote control, some money and a GPS which had been prominently mounted on the dashboard.
When the victims got home, they found that their house had been ransacked and just about everything worth anything had been stolen. The thieves had used the GPS to guide them to the house. They then used the garage remote control to open the garage door and gain entry to the house. The thieves knew the owners were at the football game, they knew what time the game was scheduled to finish and so they knew how much time they had to clean up the house. It would appear that they had brought a truck to empty the house of its contents.

MOBILE PHONE
I never thought of this.......
This lady has now changed her habit of how she lists her names on her mobile phone after her handbag was stolen.

Her handbag, which contained her cell phone, credit card,wallet...Etc... Was stolen. 20 minutes later when she called her hubby, from a pay phone telling him what had happened,

Hubby says I received your text Asking about our Pin number and I've replied a little while ago.' When they rushed down to the bank, the bank staff told them all the money was already withdrawn. The thief had actually used the stolen cell phone to text 'hubby' in the contact list and got hold of the pin number. Within 20 minutes he had withdrawn all the money from their bank account.
Moral of the lesson: Do not disclose the relationship between you and the people in your contact list. Avoid using names like Home, Honey,Hubby, Sweetheart, Dad, Mom, etc.... And very importantly, when sensitive info is being asked IMPORTANT INFORMATION texts, CONFIRM by calling back. Also, when you're being text by friends or family to meet them somewhere, be sure to call back to confirm that the message came from them. If you don't reach them, be very careful about going places to meet 'family and friends' who text you.
*PLEASE PASS THIS ON

I never thought about THAT! As of now, I no longer have 'home' listed on my cell phone.

A Body Like a Greek god

Most men would like to have the proverbial body of a Greek god, but don't know where to begin. Fortunately, my ancestors left us some pointers.

The first thing to note is that the Greek god body is not the same as a Mr. Universe-type bodybuilding physique. If you look at classical statues in museums, you'll see that an athletic Greek god looked more like a boxer or a swimmer. The quality of the muscles is much more important than quantity.

To get a body like that, you first need the correct training program. A generic "fitness" or health club routine won't work. Having the right program is more important than all the fitness equipment and enthusiasm in the world. And despite what you hear, hard work is definitely not the secret to getting a body like a Greek god. There are plenty of people in gyms everywhere who train hard, but who never get the Greek god body, and even having a personal trainer standing over them for "motivation" is no guarantee of anything.

The reason they don't succeed is not because they're doing the exercises incorrectly; it's because they're following the wrong program. Learning to do exercises is the easy part. The real secret to getting a body like a Greek god is what you do with these exercises, and how you combine these into a carefully structured system.

To get a Greek god body, you need to go about your training as an artist would carve a statue. That means your program should be broken into very specific phases. In the first phase, you should start carving out a V-shaped torso with special exercises to burn fat and build muscle. In the second phase, you should use targeted exercises to add size and shape strategically while paring away unwanted body fat. And finally, you should put the finishing touches on your physique by incorporating exercises for maximum definition.

Having the perfect musculature is only the start of getting a body like a Greek god. You should also look after the rest of your appearance, and that includes your skin, face and hair.

Unfortunately, we've been sold a lot of macho ideas over the years, as well as the mistaken notion that somehow "men age better than women." That's rubbish though, and the truth is that men need to take as much care as women, if not more. Trust me, using moisturiser or hair conditioner won't make you stop being a "real man."

We could really benefit from following the example of the ancient Greeks. As we learned in school, they were a tough race of warriors, who had conquered much of the known world at one time. But despite that, they didn't succumb to all this macho nonsense. Sure, strength and fitness were admired in their culture. But more than this, the ancient Greeks elevated the development of the human body to an art form. The classical athlete aspired to have a body like a Greek god, and he wasn't embarrassed that beauty was a part of it.

This aesthetic mindset is why the phrase "a body like a Greek god" is something that's still deeply embedded in our language. Even someone who's never seen a piece of classical art will know exactly what this analogy means. Creating a Greek god body is a big investment. It takes work and dedication. But like all great art, the results are priceless.

RED LIGHT GREEN LIGHT

you know , we all go through a some real bad days, some worse than others, but we come to a point where every thing has a turning point. For the good. Well I guess. I will just get right to it. I am Marketing Director & a down to earth kind of guy, as some say..lol. Anywho, on Aug 2, of 2006 , I got a call from my girl friend asking to have lunch with her & some of her girlfriends, I said sure, why not, so I got in my car & drove to her location. Nice day middle of the week, weekend coming up, maybe we go down to the beach. Then........... out of no where, I turn to make a left turn & my car gets the worse beating of her life,.. I will take it back a few. As I try to make a left turn on a Green Arrow, some other guy runs a red light and smashes right into me. to make a long story short, Guy is saying that he had a green light, and now claiming he is injured. Okay guy, you had your fun, now fess up and just admit you had a red light. least you could of done was slow down or the little things under your steering wheel called the break peddle,, USE IT!!! I am already in the middle of the intersection when this older man comes and smashes right into me. I am ok, my car, well forget about putting her on craigslist and selling her. If anyone was there as a witness help me out. This happened in Alameda , on Doolittle & Harbor Bay.

Help me out fellow bloggers....
